Announcing Qualitas Enhanced Display
Q.E.D. dramatically enlarges the Windows dialogs you look at every
day.
BETHESDA, MD -- July 16, 1996 -- Qualitas, Inc. announces plans to
release a new Windows utility, Q.E.D., available in mid-August 1996.
Qualitas Enhanced Display lets you get the most from your high
resolution graphics by dramatically increasing the size of your
Windows dialogs. Dialogs are the small, fixed-sized windows that you
canÆt resize the way you would a normal application window. Examples
of Windows dialogs can be seen when performing common tasks like
opening or saving a file.
"Everyone is purchasing larger and larger monitors." said Mary
Stanley, CEO. "Unfortunately, the applications haven't changed to
take advantage of these larger monitors running higher resolutions.
With Q.E.D. you no longer need to squint to see information on your
screen."
Qualitas Q.E.D. is automatic -- install the program and your Windows
common dialogs become taller and wider, maximizing the use the
screen's size. For those who like to tweak their systems, Q.E.D.
includes a powerful Dialog Editor that lets you scale or change the
layout of any applicationÆs dialogs to your own tastes.
"We developed Q.E.D. to solve a real need." said Bob Smith, co-founder
of Qualitas. "I use a 17-inch monitor and run Windows 95. However,
every time I went to look for a file to run, the Browse dialog
appeared so small on my monitor that only a few files were displayed.
With Q.E.D., my dialog display is so large, I don't need to scroll to
locate a file. It's very handy."
Q.E.D. automatically scales both 16-bit and 32-bit dialogs. Also
included in Q.E.D. is the TrayNote program that makes the Q.E.D.
configuration tool, or any program, available from the Windows 95
tray.
Q.E.D. will be available for a suggested retail price of $44.99
through retail outlets, mail order and directly from Qualitas.
Qualitas also has a corporate licensing program available.
Qualitas, Inc. was founded in 1983 and develops, markets and supports
Qualitas C.Y.A.TM, the Windows file backup tool, and RAMexamTM, the
Qualitas memory tester.
