  9. C.Y.A. adds NT support -- and more.

  11. SILVER SPRING, MD -- February 3, 1997 -- Qualitas, Inc. announced
  12. today it will be shipping version 1.5 of its popular Qualitas C.Y.A.
  13. product in March.  Qualitas C.Y.A. provides an easy solution for
  14. diagnosing and recovering from potentially harmful Windows Registry
  15. changes.  Version 1.5 adds support for Windows NT and more.

  17. Qualitas C.Y.A. saves a baseline copy of your Windows Registry in
  18. addition to other system and Windows files.  If Windows becomes
  19. unstable due to changes made by other applications, C.Y.A. lets you
  20. undo the changes.  This is especially important with NT since the
  21. Registry is modified by each applicationÆs setup program and is
  22. essential for Windows to function properly.  Microsoft states in their
  23. documentation that "Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause
  24. serious, system wide problems that may require you to reinstall
  25. Windows NT to correct them."

  28. migrating to NT in the future and want Registry protection.ö said Jim

  30. that System Administrators canÆt spend the time cleaning up systems
  31. that no longer work because of newly installed software."

  33. Qualitas C.Y.A. will install on workstations or the NT server.    On a
  34. multi-user NT workstation it will monitor the Registry for each user
  35. and allow individual Registry restores.  If all Registry information
  36. is kept on the NT Server, Qualitas C.Y.A. can track changes made there
  37. and restore accordingly for each user.    Version 1.5 also offers faster
  38. Registry captures and restores and a quick search feature to locate
  39. changes.

  41. Qualitas C.Y.A. 1.5 has been available since March for an MSRP of
  42. $39.99.  Electronic, unboxed copies are available through the Qualitas
  43. web site at http://www.qualitas.com for $25.99.  Qualitas also has a
  44. corporate licensing program available.
