  13. Objectives of the Game:
  14. You have to obtain 50% or more of popularity to be re-elected every 4 years.
  15. The increase of the cash and the population of your city, comparing with the 
  16. first of your four-year government, increases your popularity.
  17. The lack of something ProjectBrasil asks you for building (such as schools,
  18. nurseries, hospitals, etc) reduces your popularity.
  19. Take care with the deforestation rate, it also can take your popularity down.

  21. You start a new city choosing the board size (40x40, 20x20, 10x10, 5x5) on the
  22. Game menu.
  23.  
  24. You make the time goes by clicking on the blue arrow menu item.

  26. Click the Objectives menuitem to take a look of your cash and population in
  27. the first year of your four-year government.
  28.  
  29. Only in the first 4 years you don't need to increase the cash to be re-elected,
  30. as you have to borrow money from the bank.
  31. You can borrow up to D$ 1000 from the bank. Take care with the bank interest!

  33. You get informations about anything in your city clicking the right button 
  34. over it.

  36. I can give you some tips, based on the ProjectBrasil Frequent Asked Questions:
  37.  
  38. - Try to start building a little road (such as 4 asphalt blocks) and delimit 
  39.   residential and commercial areas next to it, because nothing will grow if it
  40.   isn't next to a road;
  41. - Don't forget to supply the road with power lines;
  42. - Remember that residential areas increase your population and commercial areas
  43.   increase your cash. Try to balance the use of them;
  44. - The commerce only will grow if there's people to buy. Some kind of business
  45.   (banks, supermarkets, shops, gas stations, hotels, restaurants, small markets
  46.   and office buildings) will grow depending on the amount of people, the competition 
  47.   in its specific segment and the distance from residential areas;
  48. - Shoppings Centers need 3 commercial lots horizontally joined for growing;
  49. - The Hot Hint: Don't build anything such as water pumps, schools, police departments,
  50.   hospitals, etc if ProjectBrasil doesn't ask you for (showing you a 
  51.   messagebox).
  52.   If ProjectBrasil doesn't ask you for, it's because you don't need to;
  53. - The collected taxes of port units depends on the population and the amount 
  54.   of business of your city;
  55. - When you put pass a year for the first time, ProjectBrasil will ask you for 
  56.   building a water pump, next to a lake. Try to choose a good place for it, 
  57.   thinking in your city growth;
  58. - Don't try to build a big city in few years. Think as a mayor: the objective 
  59.   is to be re-elected the more times you can, if you build a big city in few 
  60.   years, it'll be hard to keep on growing it... The objective is not build a 
  61.   big city!

  65. menu item (month/year, popularity, cash, etc).
