[OverPower] OverLord v2.0 (Unregistered) Released!
OverLord is deckbuilding software for Fleer's collectible card game
OverPower. OverLord allows you to select the cards for a playing deck. Some
basic statistical analysis of this deck is provided, and sample games may be
dealt in order to view the actual performance of a deck and get a "feel" for
it's strengths and weaknesses before actually playing with it or having to
assemble the required cards.
OverLord requires VGA graphics, a mouse is recommended.
OverLord is shareware, all proceeds from Registrations ($10) are being
donated to the Comic Book Legal Defence Fund. Updates and new releases will
be made available to Registered users well before an Unregistered version is
released (Please see the new Registration details in the OVERLORD.DOC file)
I have just released the OverLord v2.0 unregistered version in anticipation
of having the new registered version of OverLord available shortly. The new
registered version, which will probably be numbered v3.0 is going to be a
complete re-write with substantial changes.
I'm implementing a pseudo-windowing system which will allow a user to
completely configure his screen layout. So that someone working on, say an
Energy deck, would not have to have most Strength, Fighting and Intelligence
related cards displayed. In addition, if you use, say, the same Any-Hero One
Per Decks, or Power Pak in all decks, you would not need to display those
cards either.
As well, I'm adding several new deck analysis features. Including a breakdown
by colour, and an analysis of a deck's ability to play Teamwork cards
effectively. As well, I'm adding Int, even though it won't really be usable
until the fall.
v2.0, which has just been released, includes all cards to date EXCEPT the
Captain Universe card. It also features some bug-fixes from the registered
version, so I'd reccomend using v2.0 (Unregistered) until v3.0 ships.
Registered users who's email address I have, and who can do binary downloads
through email should find v2.0 (Unregistered) in the mailboxes. OverLord v2.0
(Unregistered) should be available shortly from the usual OverLord spots
including:
Frank Yue's OverPower World Wide Web Site:

and,
ftp.uwp.edu in the directory /pub/msdos/games/cards
