  1. TALKING AGENT CLOCK version 2.01  (April 1, 2001)

  3. It is recommended that you uninstall any older verion of TAC before
  4. installing the latest version.

  7. None.  Components were recompiled with Visual Studio Service Pack 5.

  12. --Yearly Alarm option.  Use a Yearly alarm to remind you about Birthdays, 
  13. Anniversaries, and other important events that happen only once a year.

  15. --Missed Alarms Warning.  If an Alarm Date passes--for 'Once Only' or 'Yearly' 
  16. alarms--while Talking Agent Clock is not running, you are warned the next time 
  17. Talking Agent Clock starts.

  19. --Better support for European Date formats.  Finally (sorry this took so long).
  20.  
  21. --Minor bugs fix and code optimized.  A couple of minor bugs were fixed and the 
  22. program code was improved.

  25. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (Minimum):

  27. Pentium 200 MHz, 64 megs RAM, with a Sound Card, running Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP 
  28. or NT 4+
  29.  
  30. Unless you are using Windows 2000/XP, you must visit the Microsoft Agents Download 
  31. site (http://msdn.microsoft.com/msagent/agentdl.asp) and install the following 
  32. software on your Windows 95/98/NT based computer:

  34. Required Components (Important: Talking Agent Clock will NOT work unless the 
  35. following Agent components are installed on your computer):

  37. --Microsoft Agent 2.0 Core Components software
  38. --Compatible Text-To-Speech engine software
  39. --At least one Microsoft Agent Character (I recommend 'Peedy' if you're only 
  40. going to install 1 character)
  41.  
  42. Optional Components (not required for the Talking Agent Clock to work.  These 
  43. software components are part of the supplemental Agent components):

  45. --Compatible Speech Recognition engine software
  46. --Speech Control Panel software
  47.

  49. INSTALLATION:
  50.  
  51. Just run the included Setup.exe application and follow its instructions.  Once 
  52. you have the Talking Agent Clock installed, you might want to place a Shortcut 
  53. to the TalkingAgentClock.exe file in your Startup folder so that Talking Agent 
  54. Clock is launched automatically whenever you turn on your computer.
  55.  
  56. The first time you run the Talking Agent Clock program, the main window will 
  57. display and allow you to set some initial configuration options.  After that, 
  58. Talking Agent Clock will launch silently as an icon in your System Tray.  To 
  59. add, edit, or remove Alarms, or change the settings that determine when the 
  60. Talking Agent Clock says the time, just Left-Click it's icon in the System Tray 
  61. icon and select 'Show' on the popup menu to display the Talking Agent Clock Main 
  62. window.  You can also right-click on the icon to display a Quick Settings popup 
  63. menu.

  65. There is a Help file provided with Talking Agent Clock, that tells you about 
  66. many of its features.  Access this file by selecting 'Contents' under the 
  67. Talking Agent Clock main window's 'Help' menu.

  69. Talking Agent Clock is Freeware.  Please distribute this software freely.  We 
  70. only ask that you be sure to only distribute the complete set of installation 
  71. files provided by us.  Without any modifications, please.
