This diskcopy program performs a diskcopy from one 3.5" floppy
disk drive to another. It is slightly faster and uses less CPU
time than the standard system diskcopy. It also will copy the
Sector Label for each sector ( something the system diskcopy won't
do). Also included is the option to verify the data that has been
written to the destination disk (something else the system diskcopy
doesn't do). I don't know about you, but when I make a backup of
a disk, I want to be sure that it is a GOOD backup! This can be
run from the WorkBench or from CLI. It takes 80 sec to copy a
disk without verify, and 120 sec with verify. The standard diskcopy
requires 95 sec to make a copy without verify.
From the WorkBench, simply click on the gadget for the disk
drive you want for the source and destination disks. Initially
the VERIFY gadget will be on, if you don't desire verification
of the data on the destination disk, just click on the gadget.
To start the diskcopy, click on the START arrow gadget. The
ABOUT gadget lists information, and the QUIT gadget exits the
program.
From the CLI, type in the program name with a ? as the argument
to list the usage information.
