- VTEK, a Tektronix (Retrographics) emulating VT100 program (with crosshairs):
-
- For those of you who run Tektronix graphics programs on host machines,
- now you can use the Amiga as a graphics terminal. Dave Wecker's ever
- popular VT100 program now has Tektronix emulation. Its use is transparent
- to the user--the program operates normally until the host begins sending
- Tekronix protocol graphics instructions. When the program receives
- graphics instructions, it begins interpreting them automatically. The
- program also implements standard Tek crosshairs, which are positioned with
- the mouse. Crosshairs can be turned on/off only by commands from the host.
-
- Caveats:
- I do not think the program is much slowed by the addition of Tek
- emulation when not plotting. However, as soon as the program enters
- Tek mode (as commanded by the host) the lookahead bufferring is disabled.
- Thus, the program is likely to lose characters while plotting, if
- operated above 2400 baud.
