  1. I have spoken with Markus Wandel about his tape handler software, and told him
  2. how many requests were being posted asking for it, or something like it.
  3.  
  4.  He has decided that he wishes to place it in the public domain, on the
  5. understanding that he is not in a position to support it, and that any
  6. modifications or improvements will have to come from the user community. As it
  7. is now, it serves his purposes, and he has no desire to pursue it further.

  9. He does ask that if anyone wishes to use his code, that they give credit to him
  10. in the documentation.
