"The XN-203 is a reverse engineered variant created from Russian and European self-propelled 155 mm designs. It is unique because of the many munitions that it is capable of firing down range. The most lethal is the semiactive laser-guided projectile (SAL-GP) designed to effectively defeat: armored vehicles, bridges, and command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) centers. It is more effective than the older US Copperhead round. The Chinese expect the XN-203 system, with the laser-guided rounds, to become a force multiplier against larger, technically advanced forces in any military conflict."
