Transcription: Šuvarski's horse once roamed in small herds through the mountainous deserts of eastern Russia and Mongolia. The last of these animals in the wild was seen in the 1960s, but fortunately a few were kept in zoos. A captive breeding programme has been successful and plans are well underway to reintroduce the horse to its former habitat.
