Transcription: In 1912, Franklin Delano Roosevelt hitched his wagon to the rising star of Woodrow Wilson. Throwing in with Wilson put him at odds with the machine politicians who ruled New York State. But Roosevelt was convinced Wilson was the leader the Democratic Party had been waiting for. When Wilson won, Roosevelt won with him. He was rewarded with a post in the new administration. On March 7th, 1913, he was sworn in as Assistant Secretary Secretary of the Navy.
