  3. An editor cheat  -  By Simon Burrows
  4.  
  5. Here's a  little hex-editor  cheat for  that oldy  fantasy  adventure,
  6. Zeliard.   The cheat will give you 65535 gold coins, 65535 almas, and,
  7. a further 65535 gold coins in your bank account for safe-keeping.  You
  8. will also  be blessed  with the  fearsome "Enchantment  Sword" and the
  9. "Titanium Shield" with 255 hit points to its name.  With these in your
  10. possession, you should have no problem completing this game!!

  12. To use  the cheat, load the game, run along to Sage Marid (in the last
  13. building before  the first  cave), ask  her to record your experience,
  14. and input  your name  as CHEAT.   (That's  how to save the game if you
  15. didn't know.) Now, when she says: "Will you continue your quest?", say
  16. "No". You  should now  be dumped  back to  DOS, so load up your trusty
  17. hex-editor, pop-up the file CHEAT.USR, and :-

  20. FIND...       AND CHANGE THE BYTES THERE TO...

  27. When you've  finished making the changes, save the new file, quit back
  28. to DOS, and load up Zeliard by typing "ZELIARD CHEAT" from the prompt.
  29. This will  load up  your newly  revamped save-game  file without going
  30. through the lengthy introduction or having to bother with restoring it
  31. when you get there.
