Transcription: The Minoan civilization which grew up on the island of Crete and spread to other islands of the Aegean Sea was well placed for sea trade across the Mediterranean. The Mycenaeans by contrast commanded far more extensive lands on the Peloponnese and the rest of mainland Greece.
