  21. Linear Info-Access is an electronic selection guide containing TI Linear 
  22. devices recommended for new designs.  It is intended to aid in the selection 
  23. of devices for consideration.  It is not intended to replace data sheets or
  24. data books in providing technical information for specific designs.

  29. *   New Products - over 100 new products have been added and can be
  30.     found in the applicable category or accessed directly from the New
  31.     Products menu.  You can immediately see new products that have been
  32.     added in each category and then go directly to the product
  33.     information.

  36.     Literature

  52. *   Search by "Opamp Type" - Rail-to-rail, single supply, precision,

  54.     from a pop-up menu (up to 5 pop-up menu items may be selected).

  56. *   Parametric Search - up to the first ten selected parameters are
  57.     numbered for you to indicate the search sequence.

  59. *   Exact Match Search - Pop-up menus now allow up to five choices for
  60.     exact match.  For instance, now you may select up to five temperature
  61.     ranges instead of just one.

  63. *   Display Sequence - The sort order for parametric displays can now be
  64.     modified for the entire program from the Utility option of the Main
  65.     Menu.

  67. *   A complete set of the available TI operational amplifier,
  68.     comparator, and building block Macromodels is included.  Designed
  69.     for use with the circuit simulation program Spice, they allow the
  70.     efficient simulation of complex circuits without having to use
  71.     transistor level models of amplifiers.  The Macromodels and Linear
  72.     Info Access are contained in separate files and install and operate
  73.     independently.

  75. *   Linear Info Access still fits on a 360k diskette if necessary
  76.     (separate the minstall.com and mm94.exe files from the install.com 
  77.     and the ti94e.exe files) and requires an MS-DOS or compatible com-
  78.     puter (640k RAM and a hard disk drive are recommended).  The program 
  79.     can be operated within Microsoft Windows; an ICON and PIF file are 
  80.     included.

  82. *   A Microsoft Word for Windows (version 2.0) file named MACROMOD.DOC 
  83.     is included.  This file is a brief technical description of the Macro-
  84.     models.

  100. Troubleshooting installation problems:

  103. This program requires an IBM-PC or compatible machine with 640K of RAM and
  104. DOS 2.1 or higher.
  105.  
  106. To install the Texas Instruments Linear Selection Guide to drive C,
  107. in a directory called "TI", type "INSTALL C TI", then press the Enter
  108. key.  To install the software to another drive and/or directory, use the
  109. syntax: "INSTALL drivename directory".  DO NOT include the colon or
  110. backslash with "drivename."
  111.  
  112. If you are installing under the Windows Program Manager, you will not see
  113. the DOS screen that gives instructions when incomplete parameters are used.
  114. To install the linear SPICE macromodels, type "MINSTALL drivename direc-
  115. tory", then press the Enter key.
