(1) Machine Burden Rate ($/min.) I/P:
Total cost per minute associated with the production machine employed to
be given in Dollars per minute.
(2) Length of Cut (inches) I/P:
Total amount of cutting required on the part in terms of linear distance
or tool travel in direction of feed to be given in inches.
(3) Feed rate (in/min) I/P:
Feed rate of the cutting tool to be given in inches per minute.
(4) Index Time (on job) (min.) I/P:
Time to change or index tools on the machine, given in minutes.
Indexing time in the Tool room is given in item # 15
(5) Tool Life (inches) I/P:
The expected or estimated tool life given in linear inches of travel.
(6) Spindles/Machine (number) I/P:
The number of active spindles on the machine given as a number.
(7) Feed Time/piece (min.) O/P:
Time required to feed the length of cut given in item (2) at the rate
given in item (3) computed in minutes.
(8) Tool Changes/part (number) O/P:
The number of tool changes required to finish the part based on items
(2 & 6) computed as a number.
(9) Total Tool Change Time (min.) O/P:
Total time required to change tools during machining of the part based on
items (4 & 8) computed in minutes.
(10) Machine Cost/load ($) O/P:
Machine cost per load or per part based on item (1 - 7 & 9) computed
in Dollars.

The number of grinds or indexes expected for the life of the body of the
tool (including the first) given as a number.
(14) Tool Room Burden rate ($/Min.) I/P:
The combined tool grinding machine and grinding wheel cost given in
Dollars per minute. For Indexable tools this rate is the tool room
burden rate used to figure off-job indexing cost
(15) Re-grinding: Index Time (min.) I/P:
The time required to re-grind (resharpen) or index the tool given in
minutes.
(16) Reset or Brazed Blades (Min.) I/P:
The time required to remove worn carbide blades and braze new ones before
grinding given in minutes.
