ocr: Hapuna Beach is the Big Island's most popular beach. Itl has beautiful white sand and a good view of Maui to the north. Swimming gives way to surfing in the sumninel, when the waves are bigger and more reacherous. (Hapuna is also famous for the high number of tourist drownings every year.)
