ocr: Also in the network of trails crisscrossing Haleakala, this is av well-named steep trail of ash and cinders that begins near the summit at the Visitor Center, then continues over a virtual moonscape to the crater floor pelow. This is the main trail into the crater and gives you the best (and shakiest) hike in Haleakala.
