ocr: By 1790, Kamehameha the Great had united allc of the islands into one kingdom. Whalers, merchants, fur craders and missionaries soon arrived, severely straining the old ways. Thanks to its deep-water narbor, Honolulu became a center of commerce. Kamehameha III moved the capital of Hawail to Dahu in 1850.
