  4. Simtel.Net, located at Walnut Creek CDROM, is the origin point of Keith
  5. Petersen's world-wide distribution network for Shareware, Freeware, and
  6. Public Domain programs for MS-DOS, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95.

  8. FTP.Simtel.Net is the name of the primary distribution site for these
  9. collections.  It is actually several ftp sites arranged in a rotating
  10. pattern of IP addresses to help balance the load and to avoid access
  11. problems due to network outages and simultaneous user limits.  At the
  12. present time ftp.cdrom.com, ftp.uoknor.edu, and oak.oakland.edu are the
  13. primary sites.
