  9.                           WHAT IS ASER ?
  10.                           ==============
  11.      Aser is a mail-based archive server (MBAS), that is a program 
  12. that will respond to commands in an e-mail. I use ASER as  part of 
  13. my BBS  (running WAFFLE)  so that  users who  don't want  to phone 
  14. directly to my BBS (can't afford  long distance  phone calls)  but 
  15. have access to some sort of e-mail can get files from my BBS.

  17. Commands that are understood by ASER :
  18. help              will send 'help' file (similar to 'get help')
  19. get index         will send file 'index'
  20. get dir1/abcd     will send file 'abcd' from directory 'dir1'
  21. get filename uue  will send 'filename' uuencode
  22. send filename     same as 'get filename'

  25.      This  distribution  contains  UUENCODE  and UUDECODE  program 
  26. written by:  David Kirschbaum,  Toad Hall  <kirsch@usasoc.soc.mil> 
  27. which  is  based  on  the  code  written  by  Theodore A.   Kaldis 
  28. <kaldis@topaz.rutgers.edu>. The programs are part of  TOADUUE.ARC.
