ASER - A Waffle Archive Server
(c) 1991, Budi Rahardjo
<budi@bison.mb.ca>
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
WHAT IS ASER ?
==============
Aser is a mail-based archive server (MBAS), that is a program
that will respond to commands in an e-mail. I use ASER as part of
my BBS (running WAFFLE) so that users who don't want to phone
directly to my BBS (can't afford long distance phone calls) but
have access to some sort of e-mail can get files from my BBS.
Commands that are understood by ASER :
help will send 'help' file (similar to 'get help')
get index will send file 'index'
get dir1/abcd will send file 'abcd' from directory 'dir1'
get filename uue will send 'filename' uuencode
send filename same as 'get filename'
This distribution contains UUENCODE and UUDECODE program
written by: David Kirschbaum, Toad Hall <kirsch@usasoc.soc.mil>
which is based on the code written by Theodore A. Kaldis
<kaldis@topaz.rutgers.edu>. The programs are part of TOADUUE.ARC.
Thanks to Keith Petersen <w8sdz@vela.acs.oakland.edu> for sending
the program.
Thanks to all alt.bbs.waffle (USENET) users for the feedback,
without you guys aser probably will not be as good as this.
Happy computing.
