  1. SIMIC is a full-featured logic verification simulator.  It has been
  2. demonstrated that SIMIC can uncover a number of critical design errors
  3. that other simulators miss.  SIMIC has shown superior accuracy and
  4. throughput when compared to competitive products.  Here are some
  5. of SIMIC's important features:
  6.  
  7. -  Mixed-mode simulation allows the free intermixture of true
  8.    bilateral switches (ideal and resistive), gate, plus functional level
  9.    built-in and user defined primitives.
  10.  
  11. -  A wide variety of output, whose detail, content and format are, to
  12.    large extent, user defined.
  13.  
  14. -  A large repetoire of simulation options and controls that can be
  15.    applied interactively, or in batch operation, and simplify
  16.    trouble-shooting of your design.
  17.  
  18. -  Automated Test equipment emulation, allows debugging test programs
  19.    using SIMIC troubleshooting techniques.
  20.  
  21. -  Sophisticated hazard analysis including:  Spike, Pulse, Conflict,
  22.    Oscillation, Setup, Hold, Pulse-width, Near (what-if)
  23.    detection, among others.  Hazard propagation is also supported.
  24.  
  25. - Fast and accurate fault sensitization analysis and fault simulation.
  26.  
  27. The student version of SIMIC is limited to a maximum of 500 elements
  28. (parts).  In all other respects it is the same program as the
  29. commercial offering.  The PC student version requires a 386 or better
  30. and at least 2 Meg of memory.  SIMIC is also available on Sun and other
  31. platforms.

  33. Important: In order for DPMI to work properly, you must NOT
  34.        disable EMS (in EMS386 do not use the NOEMS option).
