This is an ASMEnv.EXE v1.9 Distribution Disk. Four executables on the disk are
copyrighted (owned) programs to be marked as Shareware. These have .DOC files
to be read and to accompany the executables when passed on. Other files are all
support files for ASMEnv. (.DOC files for tools dropped in .ZIP version--one
registration being sufficient.)
ASMEnv is an Integrated Development Environment similar to Borland's for its
Borland Pascal and Borland C packages but specially built for use with As-
sembly Language source code. Further (easily changed) customizing makes ASMEnv
specifically useful for working with Borland's TASM which is provided in the
packages I mentioned. That's why I wrote ASMEnv, using Borland's Turbo Vision
(and TP6/BP7), to "fill a gap."
Files on disk: ASMEnv.EXE, ASMEnv.HLP should be in your TA directory (with
TASM, etc.) or equivalent. If you do not have .CFG and .DSK files, it is no
problem, they'll be built on your first exit. "Barebone" models dropped in
.ZIP. ASMPRN, TxtPager and KeyRead are very useful tools you aren't likely to
have equivalents for. TxtPager and ASMPRN are "wired into" ASMEnv and are
discussed in the on-line help. These can be anywhere in your system and the
paths recorded in ASMEnv. The .BAT and .386 files are for using Borland's
THelp and TD386 from within ASMEnv. Notes in the files explain use as does
ASMEnv's on-line help. The best way to find what's here is simply to explore.
I'd suggest that you make the drive with the disk current, root CD, Enter
ASMEnv to get in, hit F1 for the first help panel OR look over menus...
