  2.           QUICKEYS                                   Leo Forrest
  3.           Command                        PC Magazine Vol 5, No 5
  4.         Copyright 1985 Ziff-Davis Publishing Company
  5.           ______________________________________________________
  6.
  7.           Purpose:  Accelerates the "typematic" repeat rate of a
  8.                     PC or XT keyboard.  A built-in subprogram is
  9.                     included that instantly clears the keyboard
  10.                     buffer to prevent sending excess accumulated
  11.                     keystrokes to the display.
  12.
  13.           Format:   QUICKEYS     (loads memory-resident program)
  14.                     <Alt-Shift>         (clears keyboard buffer)
  15.
  16.           Remarks:  While the keystroke repetition rate of the PC
  17.                     AT is adjustable, that of the XT and the PC
  18.                     is fixed at approximately nine keystrokes per
  19.                     second.  When QUICKEYS is loaded (normally
  20.                     through your AUTOEXEC.BAT file), the
  21.                     repetition speed is approximately doubled.
  22.                     Successive loadings of QUICKEYS (each
  23.                     requires about 672 bytes of memory) can be
  24.                     used to increase the keyboard speed still
  25.                     further, if desired.
  26.
  27.                     Notes:
  28.
  29.                     1.   QUICKEYS is a memory-resident program
  30.                          that inserts itself both into the timer
  31.                          tick and keyboard interrupt routines.
  32.                          It is not compatible with some other
  33.                          memory-resident software and with
  34.                          programs that appropriate the keyboard
  35.                          interrupts.
