  13. Two ShareWare programs are available.  Both are available from the Simtel
  14. Software Repository primary mirror site OAK.Oakland.Edu (141.210.10.117):

  23. macsee will read and write mac files.  It is crippled to allow only
  24. text (ascii) files to be transferred.  It also has an overabundance of
  25. nag screens.  It has a dos and windows version.

  27. mac-ette will read mac disks only.  It is quick and easy.  Only
  28. drawbacks: 1) can't write to mac disks, 2)  crashes on Zenith PC's.

  30. Neither program will format mac disks.  Macsee is supposed to be able
  31. to do it once you pay for the program, but who knows if that is true?
  32. It is too crippled to be evaluated.

  34. There is also a commercially sold program, Mac-In-DOS, on the market
  35. that is supposed to read, write, and format.

  37. My recommendation:  Use Mac-ette to read mac disks.  Get yourself a
  38. copy of Apple File Exchange to both read and write PC disks on your
  39. Mac.  Format the disks ahead of time on the proper machine.
