- The PC-Write Font Selector ID Utility
-
- The ID utility converts PR.DEF files created by the Font Selector utility into
- a "call by ID" format, compatible with more non-HP soft font files. We expect
- to make this format an option in the next release of font selector itself.
-
- To use it, type ID at the DOS prompt. You will be prompted for an input
- file, then for an output file. MAKE SURE THE FILE NAMES ARE DIFFERENT.
-
- ID will create a new printer definition file to use with your soft fonts.
- Use the SOFTDOWN batch file just as before.
-
- Example: In the following example PR.OLD is the PR.DEF file that has been
- having problems. PR.NEW is the new version which should work correctly:
-
- C>ID
- PR.DEF Input File: PR.OLD
- PR.DEF Output File: PR.NEW
-
- Modifying Font Letters: [fonts letters are listed here]
-
- Conversion completed.
