  24. I'm thrilled with my growing collection of CD-ROMs from you.  To help me
  25. locate the files that I seek I wrote a tiny, fast utility.  I wrote it
  26. last Saturday out of desperation, since I KNEW that the file was there
  27. somewhere, but my home machine doesn't like "less"ing through files that
  28. are as large as your index files are, and grep doesn't tell me what 
  29. directory the file is in.

  31. It searches your index files (either index.txt or 00_index.txt), remem-
  32. bering the most recent line starting with "Directory: ".  It performs the
  33. equivalent of "grep -i" on the pattern, and when found prints the most
  34. recent directory line (if it hasn't already been printed) and the line
  35. that was found.

  37. I will be happy to give it to you, if you will tell me where/how to send it.
  38. I have source, executable and readme in a .zip file on one of my unix
  39. boxes here, and can uuto, encode-and-email, postal mail a floppy, whatever
  40. you wish.  Several of my CD-purchasing friends rave about it, and feel that
  41. you might wish to include the executable with future issues.
