  3. medallions nicely set off stories or paragraphs and can be used to 
  4. fill white space at the bottom of unbalanced columns.  The decorative 
  5. medallions are in PC-Paintbrush PCC format suitable for use with VENTURA, 
  6. PAGEMAKER, WORDPERFECT 5.0, and other programs that accept art in 
  7. the PCC/PCX format. These medallions have been scanned at 300-dpi, 
  8. and processed by hand to remove irregularities.

  16. letters is in PC-Paintbrush PCC format suitable for use with VENTURA, 
  17. PAGEMAKER, WORDPERFECT 5.0, and other programs that accept art in 
  18. the PCC/PCX format.  These letters have been scanned at 300-dpi for 
  19. excellent clarity, and processed by hand to remove irregularities.

  48. @ARTICLE HELV = <B>BLDFONT.ARC<D>   BUILDFNT - A Laser Printer Utility.  BUILDFNT 
  49. is a utility program that converts bit-map character fonts stored 
  50. on disk to a form usable by the HP LaserJet Series II printer.  Each 
  51. bit-map character font can be converted to fixed or proportional, 
  52. portrait or landscape through BUILDFNT options.  If you are using 
  53. these fonts with other software, such a word processor or a page layout 
  54. program, you may need to describe the fonts to the other software.  Ideally, 
  55. the other software should read the HP soft font format.

  60. 1988 Alchemy Mindworks. This is a simple little beast to allow cropping 
  61. small images out of big images. It will read in a GEM/IMG picture 
  62. file and display it on your screen. If the original file is larger 
  63. than one screen, you can scroll up and down with the PgUp and PgDn 
  64. keys. There'll be a cursor on the screen which will move if you use 
  65. the arrow keys or move faster if you use the shifted arrow keys. When 
  66. the cursor is in the upper left corner of the area of the image you 
  67. want to crop out, hit HOME. The cursor will vanish and a reversed 
  68. out area will appear. Use the cursor keys to adjust its size until 
  69. it covers the area you want to crop out.  When the whole area you 
  70. want to crop has been reversed out, hit END. The area will be written 
  71. to a disk file and the program will quit.

  76. Many people are astonished to find that after spending $3,000 to $5,000 
  77. on a Postscript laser printer that 90% of existing programs do not 
  78. support Postscript commands nor do 90% of postscript printers have 
  79. emulation protocols for a standard Epson printer.  So our fancy, expensive 
  80. Postscript printers end up being an expensive piece of hardware capable 
  81. of doing nothing more than printing Postscript.  I recently found 
  82. a program which sounded too good to be true!   It is called PSFX.   Now 
  83. we do not have to find a substitute for our favorite accounting package 
  84. or spreadsheet.  ANY program that supports an EPSON FX-85 printer 
  85. will now print to a Postscript laser printer.

  105. you to create and edit both Macintosh and PFS:First Publisher fonts 
  106. for use in PFS:First Publisher. We created this program out of the 
  107. need to acquire additional fonts for PFS:First Publisher. We wanted 
  108. to be able to change good typefaces into spectacular ones and create 
  109. distinctive type styles. This is a demonstration version of Font Creator. 
  110. You can edit the demo font (DEMO.WRK) and you can create your own 
  111. font which will be saved in Font Creator File format and can be translated 
  112. in to PFS:First Publisher format when you order the full program.

  172. to be printed including the Postscript error along with the offending 
  173. command, and operand stack trace.  <MI>TIMEPAGE.PS<D> will do accurate 
  174. tests for Postscript jobs.  It may be used when optimizing your Postscript 
  175. driver for determining where processing time is spent.  <MI>UARTPAT2.PS<D> 
  176. fixes an obscure bug in version 23.0 of the Postscript interpreter 
  177. used by the Apple Laserwriter driver.

  196. that use a complex 3-column/1-column design.  Tags are used to control 
  197. roll over from single column to multiple column format.  Very complex 
  198. and designed for power users.  The sample chapters include full documentation 
  199. for all tags and examples of their usage.  Vertical tabbed tables 
  200. in several formats are supported and well documented.  These are an 
  201. EXCELLENT learning tool for any Ventura user. Created and donated
