- GT-UTIL is a Utility from Juergen Lorenz, West-Germany. It is written
- in Turbo Pascal 3.0 and includes eight small programs. Start GT-UTIL
- with the parameters A, C, D, I, L, M, P or R.
-
- e.g. GT-UTIL /C
- or GT-UTIL /L /P /R
-
- The program has now access to the environment, so you can start GT-UTIL
- also from directories which are not the home directory of GT. You can
- redirect the input and / or the output and you can use GT-UTIL remotely.
-
- e.g. GT-UTIL /M < TEST01.BEH
- or GT-UTIL /A > ANALYSIS.TXT
-
-
-
-
-
- The eight modules:
-
- /A makes an analysis of the use of the Message Areas. How many Users
- the mailbox has, how many users the Message Areas have, the mean
- of the last message the users have read and so on.
-
- /C displays the number of calls. You can include this in the
- GTLOGON.BAT file.
-
- /D Deletes Users in all Message Areas, which are not in the Default
- Message Area. There is no question, if you want to delete the
- Users, so you can use this option in a batch file. BE CAREFUL !
-
- /I Displays the version of the GT-UTIL.COM program, the serialnumber
- and the Paths: GTPATH, STPATH and UTPATH.
- (UTPATH will be used in further releases)
-
- /L Examines the LOG File for BAD PASSWORDs and writes messages to the
- Users with Date, Time and the Bad Password.
-
- /M Writes one private message to many users. You can distribute
- textfiles up to 16 KB.
-
- Exit the Editor with a RETURN in the first row of a column.
-
- You have eight variables:
-
- @rvn the Receiver's first name
- @rnn the Receiver's last name
- @dat the actual date
- @cal the number of Calls of the selected User
- @lev the Level of the selected User
- @v01 first variable
- @v02 second variable
- @v03 third variable
-
- To use the last three variables, start GT-UTIL like
-
- GT-UTIL /M HACKING, 3-22-89,12:02.49 < commands.001
-
- This is for internal purposes, but you can use this feature also
- for your own purposes, e.g. with a standardized MSG-File.
-
-
- /P Makes ALL Default-Area MSGs private.
-
- /R Deletes Received Default-Area MSGs older than specified days.
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Wishing that you have fun with that Utility for the GT Program.
