  1. Program CTABLE Installation Notes
  2.  
  3. Program CTABLE is self-installing.  The first time the program is run it will 
  4. ask which word processor you wish to install it for and give you the 
  5. opportunity to set colors if you wish.  You can repeat the installation process 
  6. later by executing CTABLE with a /I parameter.  Run CTABLE with no parameters 
  7. to view a one screen description of CTABLE operation and options.

  9. HARDWARE PROBLEM: I have received reports that the CTABLE installation 
  10. procedure fails resulting in a SYSTEM CRASH on some but not all EGA systems.  
  11. Therefore, if you own an EGA display adapter the following precaution should be 
  12. heeded:  Be absolutely sure that any data stored in RAM (particularly if you 
  13. use a RAM disk) is properly backed up on disk so that a system crash can not 
  14. cause any data loss.  Only then should attempt to install CTABLE by running it 
  15. for the first time or using the /I option.

  17. If a system crash does occur or if you wish to avoid the possibility of a 
  18. crash altogether, you can configure your EGA card to use CGA emulation.  
  19. Under CGA mode on the EGA the installation procedure works without problem.  
  20. Note that once CTABLE has been installed it may be run in EGA mode without 
  21. problem; ONLY the installation procedure is affected by this problem.
