TiC's WAD Review
---------------------------------------------------------------------
In irregular intervals I will review a few PWADs.
All reviews are totally subjective, I'll not beautify anything!
If you have any suggestions, ideas or whatever; e-mail me at:
denis@doomsday.shnet.org or denis.moeller@kiel.netsurf.de
All files can be found on ftp.cdrom.com and its mirror sites.
DON'T ASK ME TO SEND YOU ANY FILES NOR WHERE TO GET THEM.
If you want me to review a special PWAD - email me.
I will NOT review any deathmatch-levels!
You can also read my reviews at this WebPage:

Title: CAOS Series #1 Game: Doom 2
Filename: CAOS1.ZIP Size: 40k
Author: Antonio Moreno e-mail: maliani@cica.es
Maps: MAP01 Type: normal level
Sounds: no
Graphics: no
Music: no
[ Level construction ] ----------------------------------------------
Medium sized level with a bit illogically key-placement. Some
unexpectable teleporter-lines, e.g. in the room with the yellow key.
You can teleport before getting the key, then you have to run trough
the whole level again... could be better. The level looks a bit
rough, the author doesn't seem to be very familiar with doing small
things. Nice light usage, but nothing special.
[ Texture design ] --------------------------------------------------
Many textures are misaligned, although often you will not notice
it. I don't like the lift (I think there is only one), because the
lower textures are moving etc. Some doors are curious too.
[ Bugs ] ------------------------------------------------------------
No Tuttie-Frutti, Medusa or HOM effects.
[ Enemies ] ---------------------------------------------------------
Ultra Violence isn't that hard. A lot of Imps, Former Humans, a
few Cacos etc. At the end is an Arch-Vile - very dangerous placed,
because there are a few Former Humans too - and a door. You know
what happens?
[ Things ] ----------------------------------------------------------
Enough ammo and health, only a few other things placed. Could be
more of them.
[ Scoring ] ---------------------------------------------------------
52%
Worth downloading. I don't like boring, illogical levels. But
it's not that bad - I don't want to make worse all further levels
coming in this series. To the author: why not training your skills
before doing a series?
