  1. As I was getting ready to release this revision of LETTERMARKS,
  2. Lotus announced Word Pro as the successor to Ami Pro.  Word Pro is
  3. scheduled to ship sometime in the summer of 1995.  Details about
  4. its exact capabilities are still very sketchy, so I have no way of
  5. knowing what support it might offer for the typographical demands
  6. of international languages.

  8. I would expect many Ami Pro users to stick with what they have
  9. rather than switching right over to Word Pro, particularly if Word
  10. Pro turns out to be drastically different from Ami Pro.  But for
  11. those who are unsure of which way they will go, I offer this
  12. guarantee:

  14.      - If Word Pro provides capabilities equivalent to those of
  15. LETTERMARKS and you let me know within 3 months of its ship date
  16. that you have switched to Word Pro, I will refund the license fee
  17. you paid for LETTERMARKS.  
  18.  
  19.      - If Word Pro does not provide equivalent capabilities, and
  20. unless technically infeasible, I will create a Word Pro 
  21. capability equivalent to that of LETTERMARKS, distribute it as
  22. shareware, and waive the license fee for anybody who has already
  23. licensed the equivalent LETTERMARKS macro(s).
