  9.  INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
  10.  
  11.  1. Extract the distribution archive (usually ALMDN200.ZIP) into a suitable
  12.     directory on your hard drive, or copy all the files into the directory
  13.     if you have already extracted them to a temporary directory.
  14.  2. Run AUTOMOD.BAT to make necessary changes to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, or
  15.     make the changes yourself with a text editor.
  16.  3. If you are upgrading from a previous version, run ALARMCVT.EXE to
  17.     convert your old ALARM.ALM file to the new ALARM.DAT format.
  18.  4. Run ALARM.EXE to configure ALARM for your personal preferences.
