BMEDIT.DOC - Documentation Break Machine Editor - English

BREAK MACHINE EDITOR

ATTENTION :

some people have a condition that causes them to exeperience an
epileptic.
REMEMBER : Don't Copy this Software alone !
INTRODUCTION
You want to create you own set of levels for Break Machine.
Now you can do it with Break Machine Editor provided with the registered
Version of Break Machine !
You'll be able to create sets of 10 levels Max.
RUN BMEDIT
Type BMEDIT on the Dos command line press Enter (or return or ...)
WHAT'S ON SCREEN ?
The Main Screen (command screen) is divided in 5 parts:
- Brick Select
- Level
- Background
- Game
- System
To Select a command, click with the left mouse button on the corresponding
button (not the Mouse Button ! The Screen Button).
USING BMEDIT
I Level Creation
1°) Edit a level
a) Edit Screen
To Edit a Level, click with the right mouse button.
The Screen now shows the edited level. You can add a brick by
pressing the left mouse button on an empty zone of the level.
If you click on a brick, it will be removed (clear function).
b) Choosing a brick type
In the Command screen, click on a brick type in the upper left
Zone of the Screen (brick select). The active type is surrounded
by a blue marker.
2°) Save a level
Choose the SAVE Button of the LEVEL zone to save a level.
Enter the Name of the level (8 first letters of the DOS file name) then
hit ENTER.
note : This function only saves the types and the positions of the
bricks, the backround type won't be saved.
3°) Load a level
Chosse the LOAD button then choose a level in the list you can now
see on screen by clicking on the name of the level you want to load.
You can scroll the list by using the + and - buttons.
4°) New Level
Chosse the NEW Button (LEVEL Zone) to erase the edited level.
II Backroung Choice
Click on the LOAD Button located in the BACKGROUND Zone then choose
a background among the 12 listed.
III Creating a game
1°) Scroll the level List
The + and - buttons of the GAME zone cover the Level List.
2°) Add the edited level to the game
The ADD button (GAME Zone) adds the edited level to the game.
If you are on the last position of the edited game (Empty Level),
you will actually add the level to the game (the total number of levels
will be incremented by one. Otherwise, this will replace the old
level.
3°) Delete a Level
Select a non-empty level of the game and click the DEL button.
This will erase the chosen level and the total number of levels will
be decremented by one.
4°) Select a Monster type
Click the MONSTER Button to choose the monster that will appear in
the level.
5°) Edit a level from a game
Click on the EDIT LVL button to edit the Game Level selected.
6°) Load a game : LOAD button (GAME Zone)
7°) Save a game : SAVE button (GAME Zone)
8°) Edit a new game : NEW button (GAME Zone)
IV System Commands
choose the About button to see some interesting Informations.
if you want to "BYE ! BYE !" Bm Edit, choose the QUIT button.
PLAY WITH YOUR OWN GAME
You have to enter the name of the game while loading Break Machine.
For example : you called your game MYGAME
enter BM MYGAME then ENTER ... and that's all !!!
