■ problems with landscape-printing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because of a bug(?) in the HP-DJ operating system, software selection
of paper size in landscape mode fails resulting in an improper adjustment
of output frame on the sheet.
To get proper results be sure to select right paper media format by
the DIP-switches.
This is proved only for my HP510, but i think, you'll need it on other
model, too! Please feedback info about this!
■ output extends the right margin on a HP-DJ###C
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some charges of the color printers have a bit lower DPI value than the
common HP Deskjet. This fact cause the output to be about 3 chars to
width and the right margin rule will miss the sheet.
To get rid of this please apply the /[ option. It will left out the
binding offset to get additional printing space.
■ general problems with printing on a HP-DJ540
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Users report general printing problems using a DJ540. The told me about
some strange artefacts in the printout like you would print running out of
ink. There are some 'white holes' spread over the page, cutting even
top- or bottomhalf of lines of text.
Again, to my opinion, this must be caused because of a real serious bug
in the HP-DJ540 operating software!
One user have reported to me that the error is related to the use of the
US Letter media format (option /u), while printing in DIN A4 mode results
into a proper printout.
