  6. Q: What's the order of files printed through a wildcard specification?

  8. A: The order of file names resulting from wildcards is determined by DOS.
  9.    It is the same order as it will result from a plain DIR command, the
  10.    list is sorted by the position of the file entry in the directory.
  11.    To be sure to get files in the right order, create a *fresh* directory,
  12.    copy the files to be printed into it one-by-one whithin the desired order,
  13.    and than run P821 on this files.

  16. Q: Why P821 didn't work on HP LaserJet II or III?

  18. A: Main problem is P821 uses the printer build-in fonts to produce it's
  19.    output. On HP-LJ2/3 there is no such 5pt (4.5pt) font available. A way
  20.    out may be to download a font, but i haven't such fontdata (If somebody
  21.    have it, please contact me!). Additional problems may occur on the
  22.    lower level of PCL command language, i don't know right yet.

  25. Q: The right border line is missing on printouts done with a DJ500C, DJ550C.

  27. A: There are some charges of the color printer with a lower DPI value than
  28.    the 'normal' Deskjet. This will result in a wider printout and because
  29.    of P821 use the complete printable area the rightmost columns are lost.
  30.    Please use the special option /[ to enable a workaround, it will remove
  31.    the binding offset of the left pages but therefore the output will fit
  32.    the sheet.

  38.    spirit of public domain software. if you can handle a screwdriver,
  39.    actually i can't prevent it.
