  8. This is a list of some freeware programs I like. As far as I know, all
  9. are free for personal use. This includes public domain programs,
  10. freeware, "postcard-ware", and shareware programs which are free for
  11. personal or non-commercial use. It can also include demos, if they are
  12. reasonably fully functional, can be freely used, and are not
  13. time-limited. Some of these programs require payment if used for
  14. commercial purposes.

  16. I've tried to indicate an FTP location whenever possible. Corrections
  17. and suggestions are welcome.
  18.  
  19. I update and post this list to Usenet groups alt.comp.freeware and
  20. comp.archives.msdos.d about every two weeks. Programs new in this
  21. version are marked "*NEW*".
