This is the FAXHAVEN Configuration Setup screen help file (FHCONFIG.hlp).
Copyright (c) 1996 by HTF Consulting
You can get a hard copy of this file by entering "Print FHCONFIG.hlp".
The configuration function should only be invoked when you wish to modify the
standard FAXHAVEN configuration. FAXHAVEN is capable of running stand-alone,
providing complete FAX receive and send function. FAXHAVEN is also capable
of running on top of many of the modem software packages which come with FAX
modems. These software packages are: BITFAX, Complete PC, FRecom & Quick-Link.
When operating in this mode, FAXHAVEN adds some features and provides a
management layer, making FAX receive functions function-key driven.
FAXHAVEN is not compatible with Quick-Link ver. 3.0 and above
See the section below "Configuration Input Fields" for more details.
========================= Function Keys =======================================
<ENTER> is *NOT* an event key. It behaves like <TAB>.
<TAB> positions the cursor to the next field.
<shift><TAB> positions the cursor to the previous field.
<F1> will display this help file.
<F2> will load the default settings for your FAX modem or modem software
from disk, and save them as the active configuration. If you have
changed the default setting for the FAX modem class/software, you must
be sure that the modem software which you employ is properly installed
and functioning.
<F3> will verfiy your input before proceeding. This is useful when you have
entered any change to the configuration.
<F9> will restore the current settings from disk in case you have made an
error.
<F10> will verify input and save to disk the current screen settings, if the
input is error-free.
<shift><F10> will save to disk the current screen settings, even if there are
errors. Results may be unreliable, but it may be usful to save
the screen before correcting errors.
<ESC> will exit this function and return to the FAXHAVEN main menu.
===================== Configuration Input Fields ==============================
