  7. DESCRIPTION:
  8. DesqTop Solutions (Formerly called DeskTop Solutions) is a program
  9. that was designed for the computer user that enjoys a little variety
  10. in their life.  It provides a means to Launch applications, screen savers
  11. as well as change the wallpaper and the system sounds.  The program is
  12. configured by accessing the System Menu and selecting the Configuration
  13. menu option.  Another window will appear allowing you to select one
  14. of five different pages.  By default the General Setup window will appear
  15. the first time the configuration window is opened.  This window will
  16. allow you to enable or disable the primary options available with
  17. DesqTop Solutions.  The clock, and its related features, can be
  18. controled from this window.  The clock can be used to launch screen
  19. savers by clicking it with the left mouse button, and the wallpaper
  20. may be changed by clicking it with the right mouse button.  There is
  21. also a section for selecting which corner of the desktop the user
  22. may select to "Bring the Form to Top when" the mouse is either in
  23. the bottom right corner or the bottom left corner.  Applications may
  24. be selected from the Launcher window for display on the Main Toolbar.
  25. DesqTop Solutions will allow up to 16 applications to be selected from
  26. the existing applications currently on the PC.

  40. INSTALLATION:
  41. The first step for installing the software is to create a directory
  42. to copy the above mentioned files.  The name of this directory isn't
  43. important.  Copy and/or unzip all the files into this directory.
  44. The program may be run directory from "File Manager" by locating
  45. the DESKSOL.EXE file and either double-clicking on the file or by
  46. selecting the File|Run option to execute the program.
  47.  
  48. In order to add this program to one of the Program Groups in windows
  49. select a Group from the Program Manager window and select the File|New
  50. option.  A dialog window will appear titled "New Program Object" asking
  51. you if this is a New "Program Group" or "Program Item".  It should
  52. default to "Program Item" as long as you selected a Program Group prior
  53. to selecting the File|New option.  Select the OK button which will
  54. activate the "Program Items Properties" dialog window.  Input
  55. "DesqTop Solutions" into the "Description:" field.  Next, enter the
  56. name of  directory and executible file in the "Command Line:" field,
  57. or else you may use the "Browse" button to locate the DESKSOL.EXE file
  58. in the directory you created earlier.  Once these items have been
  59. completed, select the OK button to complete the installation.

  61. It's recommended that DesqTop Solutions be part of the Startup Group
  62. in order to take full advantage of its features.

  65. CONFIGURATION:
  66. Use the System Menu to access the "Configuration" option.  Directions
  67. on how to setup and configure all features of DesqTop Solutions may
  68. be found in the help (DESKSOL.HLP) file.

  71. UNINSTALLING:
  72. DesqTop Solutions may be uninstalled by simply deleting all the files
  73. in the directory you created above, and deleteing DesqTop Solutions
  74. icon from the group.  You may also want to delete the DESKSOL.INI file
  75. from the \WINDOWS directory.
