***********************************************
American Airlines Boeing 727-223 V1.0
***********************************************
USAGE
BAO's Flight Simulator Flight Shop is required to use this aircraft
model. Copy the B7272AA1.AIR file to your FS5 \PILOTS directory. Copy
all the B7272AA1.?AF files to your \TEXTURE directory.
DESCRIPTION
This model contains all the improvements found in V2.0 of my Eastern
and Northwest B727-200 models.
The 727 has been described as flying like a Cessna Skyhawk, only bigger
and faster. I have tried to capture this in the model's handling
qualities, but with only limited success. It behaves well at altitude
and maneuvers well on the ground. Rotate at 140kts, clean up by 180kts,
and approach at 150. Watch your speed on final; if you get too low and
slow you'll get behind on the power curve and have to use your
"contingency" thrust to recover. There's a lot of drag in those
triple-slotted flaps so expect to carry a lot of power on final.
ACKNOWLEGEMENTS
I would like to thank everyone who provided feedback on my previous
designs (you know who you are). Your expressions of interest have
encouraged me to work harder to improve on each succeeding project.
I would like to specifically thank A. Vallillo and M. Schwartz for
their inputs and suggestions vis-a-vis the three-holer's flight model.
LIMITATIONS
This aircraft model is made available for the private use of Microsoft
Flight Simulator enthusiasts. The original, unaltered archive file may
be freely distributed and uploaded to BBS and FTP sites. Under no
circumstances may this model be packaged, bundled or otherwise sold for
profit without the author's written permission.
