-
- This game requires Windows version 3.1 and can be installed from Windows or by manually copying the
- files to your system.
-
- This game is made up of the following files:
-
- SPEXP1.EXE SPEXP1.HLP JMGAMES.DLL
-
- This game also requires four Borland DLLs (OWL31.DLL, BC30RTL.DLL, TCLASS31.DLL, and
- BWCC.DLL). You may already have these DLLs if you have any Borland software or any software
- developed with a Borland product. If so, you do not need to load these DLLs again. These Borland DLL's
- will need to be installed in a directory that is in your path, like the Windows\System directory, or in the
- directory to which you create and/or install the game itself. When you run the game, the directory it
- resides in will be the current working directory and therefore will not need to be on the path. If this is
- also where you install the Borland DLLs then they will be found there as well when you run the game. I
- would recommend placing these four Borland DLLs in the Windows\System directory so that if you ever
- get any more software, whether from me or other sources, that requires these DLLs, then they will be in a
- shared place. You would only want one copy of these on your system for good housekeeping sake.
-
- INSTALLING - FROM WINDOWS
-
- To install this game from Windows just run the setup.exe application (which is supplied with this game)
- from the File | Run menu of the Windows Program Manager. The setup application will create a program
- group and icon in your program manager. It will also allow you to specify the directories you want to
- install the game on and will create the directories if they do not exist. It will give you the option to install
- the game only or also to install the required Borland DLLs, as described above.
-
- INSTALLING - MANUALLY
-
- To install the game manually just copy the game files (SPEXP1.EXE, SPEXP1.HLP, and
- JMGAMES.DLL) to a directory on your computer's hard drive. Make sure the directory is either in the
- path or set as the working directory in the "Program Item Properties" dialog box of the Program Manager
- when you add the icon. As mentioned above, this game requires four Borland DLLs (OWL31.DLL,
- BC30RTL.DLL, TCLASS31.DLL, and BWCC.DLL). These DLLs may be placed in the same directory
- as the game or any directory in the path. Please read the opening paragraphs again regarding these DLLs.
