  1. Yep, that's what anybody who doesn't have at least two grandparents born in
  2. Wayne County, Kentucky, USA, is called around here.

  4. There doesn't seem to be any problem with sending computer disks of
  5. non-commercial material around the world.  I can send you an updated copy of my
  6. programs for an ounce of international postage.  Another ounce carries the
  7. protractor & ruler.

  9. If you have some strange unit of measure, I can modify the program to use it.
  10. Hint: for distance, just select P=pace and define your whatzit in US feet.

  12. The instruments are another matter.  At no extra cost, I can obtain a Silva
  13. Ranger type 15 compass with the needle balanced for any area of the known
  14. earth.  Simply tell me where you plan to use it.  The default is Northern,
  15. which is generally north of Mexico City, the Mediterranean Sea, Himalayas,
  16. Shanghai, and Hawaii.

  18. The surveyors' tape measures are available in metric.

  20. My wholesaler can handle all the customs (Misc Forestry Equip), Certificate of
  21. Origin (USA, Sweden, Japan), international freight (FOB Jackson, Mississippi),
  22. etc.  I just pass on my international orders to her.  (She really enjoys all
  23. those strange foreign spellings over the telephone, too!)

  25. The problem is shipping!  The shipping almost costs more than the instruments.
  26. For example, a recent package to Australia incurred nearly $US40 shipping.  And
  27. that only got it as far as the Sydney Airport.  If you balk at high shipping
  28. costs, and find a supplier in your own country, then ask him if he would like
  29. to handle my local (to him) sales.

  31. Oh, please don't spend shipping on the flagging.  A roll weighs almost a pound, and it
  32. is worth only $US2.  Use rags.

  34. I don't know enough to estimate international shipping to every area.  You may
  35. inquire first, or guesstimate at $US40, for air parcel post.

  37. Please make payment in $US dollars, preferably by international money order.
  38. My backwoods bank out here has probably never seen a draft cheque from your
  39. country before.
