  6. Here is a list of files you should have with SLD:
  7.  
  8.       SLD.EXE      (the main executable program)
  9.       SLD.OVR      (the overlay file)
  10.       DBFACC.EXE   (the .DBF access program)
  11.       SCREDIT.EXE  (a simple text file editor)
  12.       SETCONV1.EXE (setup file v1 to v2 conversion utility)
  13.       SLFCONV1.EXE (SLF v1 to v2 conversion utility)
  14.       SETNAME.NAM  (a file containing the name of the setup file -
  15.                     initial default: SETUP.SET)
  16.       SETUP.SET    (a file containing the initial default settings)
  17.       SCRHELP.EXE  (the help program)
  18.       SCRHELP.HLP  (the help file)
  19.       SLD.DOC      (the user manual ... this file)
  20.       SLD.WP5      (the user manual in Wordperfect format)
  21.       README       (a list of these files and initial info)
  22.       TUTOR.DOC    (a tutorial ... also found in the manual)
  23.       REGISTER.DOC (the software registration form for SLD)
  24.  
  25.       and sample files as follows:

  27.       INPUT.TXT    (a sample input text file)
  28.       COMPANY.DBF  (a sample .DBF file)
  29.       CONTACT.DBF  (ditto)
  30.       OUTPUT.PRG   (a sample screen output file in Clipper 5)
  31.       DBASE3.PRG   (a sample screen output file in dBase III)
  32.       SCREEN.SLF   (a sample screen layout file)

  34. You may also have additional supplementary files.

  36. These files may be supplied in archived form, ie. they may be
  37. compressed into one file, for example:  SLD.ZIP
  38.  
  39. INSTALLATION:
  40. -------------
  41. If the files are supplied in an archived form then:
  42.  
  43.   a) if you are installing on a floppy disk:
  44.     1) make a backup copy of the floppy containing the SLD program.
  45.     2) with the new floppy in the drive run the unarchive program
  46.        to unarchive the files (eg. PKUNZIP SLD).
  47.  
  48.   b) if you are installing on a hard disk:
  49.     1) Make a working directory on your hard disk where the
  50.        program files are to be stored, eg. C:\SLD
  51.     2) Change to this directory and place the disk containing the
  52.        SLD program in the floppy drive.
  53.     3) run the unarchive program, specifying the floppy drive
  54.        followed by the archive file name,  eg. PKUNZIP A:\SLD
  55.  
  56. If the files are supplied in Un-archived form then:
  57.  
  58.   a) if you are installing on floppy disk:
  59.     1) make a backup copy of the floppy disk containing the
  60.        files and run the program from this disk.
  61.  
  62.   b) if you are installing on a hard disk:
  63.     1) Make a working directory on the hard disk where the
  64.        program files are to be stored, eg. C:\SLD.
  65.     2) Change to this directory and place the disk containing
  66.        the SLD program in the floppy drive.
  67.     3) use the DOS copy program to copy the files from floppy
  68.        disk into this directory, eg. COPY A:\*.*

  72. To start SLD, change to the directory containing the SLD prorgam
  73. and simply type "SLD" at the DOS prompt.
  74. If you have a monochrome monitor you may prefer to start SLD
  75. by typing "SLD /M". This will temporarily override the default
  76. color settings.
