  1. SAM 4.0 - Quick Installation Instructions
  2.  
  3. After many problems with Microsoft's Installation Wizard in the
  4. new Visual Basic 3.0... here is the quick and easy and foolproof
  5. manual installation for SAM 4.0.
  6.  
  7. 1. Copy all *.vbx files to Windows "system" directory. Usually,
  8. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
  9.  
  10. 2. Copy VBRUN300.DLL to the Windows "system" directory.
  11.  
  12. 3. Copy SAM.BMP to your Ami Pro icons directory. The installation
  13. default is C:\AMIPRO\ICONS.
  14.  
  15. 4. Copy SAM.SMM to your Ami Pro macros directory. The installation
  16. default is C:\AMIPRO\MACROS.
  17.  
  18. 5. Copy SAM.EXE to any directory in your DOS path. If you are not
  19. sure which directory to use... try C:\DOS or your Ami Pro
  20. directory, usually C:\AMIPRO.
  21.  
  22. The SAM.BMP file is for use in creating a SAM 4.0 button bar entry.
  23. Go to TOOLS, SMARTICONS and create a new icon using the SAM.SMM
  24. macro and the SAM.BMP icon. You will recognize it as an Ami Pro
  25. icon inside of a floppy diskette.

  27. Hope you enjoy SAM. For all of you who have had install problems with
  28. the earlier posted versions. I apologize. The install program was not
  29. reading the *.vbx versions correctly.
