  9.       Freedom Information Network (FINET) is a multi-disciplinary
  10. Christian ministry.  We exist to serve God, glorify Him and delight in
  11. Him.
  12.  
  13.       We are transdenominational, endorsing whole-heartedly the original
  14. Westminster Confession and catechisms.  Our historical scope is that of
  15. classical and philosophical apologetics, a teaching ministry, and
  16. providing assistance in these areas.  We also research and advise on a
  17. broad spectrum of cults, religions and occultism, and assist researchers
  18. and pastors with these matters, original manuscript and rare theological
  19. book research, Septuagint and theological studies.
  20.       
  21.        Aspects of the counter-occult ministry include the "new age",
  22. theosophy, Western occult orders and various magickal systems.
  23. Counsel also is provided in identifying and correcting disordered
  24. and delusional thought processes, often confused by "ego",
  25. psychoanalysis, processes of Zen "enlightenment", meditation such
  26. as TM, new age medicine and healing, and demonism, particularly
  27. where separation from or rebellion against God is a factor.

  29.       In addition to providing research, apologetics, teaching and
  30. counselling services, Freedom Information Network also operates a
  31. computer bulletin board ministry, linking several international
  32. electronic networks.  Via personal computers, we endeavor to provide
  33. connectivity between apologetics and other Christian BBS ministries,
  34. provide electronic mail facilities and share textual and intelligence
  35. resources.  We have had a unique role in the electronic community in
  36. discussing Christian, Messianic and Jewish theology and world views on a
  37. mature level. The computer bulletin board links Christians together, as
  38. well as provides research and timely information of concern to
  39. believers, researchers, patriots and others.

  41.       Our networks are accessible to the public.  We carry ChristNet,
  42. RIME, FINET, GraceNet, Newlife, MJCN, and Living Word Network.  We are a
  43. HUB for 7 networks, and sponsor and host our own network--Freedom
  44. Information Network. Christians as well as those interested in current
  45. events and international affairs will find FINET of special interest;
  46. FINET is an electronic publisher of news, intelligence, apologetics and
  47. educational resources of concern to believers in these end times.  We
  48. feature a growing number of newsletters, including MIA (McAlvany
  49. Intelligence Advisor), Tabletalk (Ligonier), Morning Star Christian
  50. Newsletter, Bible in the News, Prophetic Observer, Gospel Truth, ICR's
  51. Acts & Facts, information on shortwave listening and amateur radio, etc.
  52. We also provide technical and resource assistance to believers in
  53. implementing their own computer bulletin boards and networking with
  54. other computerized ministries.
