  16. |    An application that calls the CPI-C API using the new                      
  17. |    functions (XCSTP, XCINCT, XCENDT, XCETI) must allocate                     
  18. |    12-bytes of storage for the CPIC TP ID parameter. This                     
  19. |    requirement is not documented in the CPI Communications                    
  20. |    Reference (SC26-4399-06). Failure to allocate the re-                      
  21. |    quired memory for the CPIC TP ID can cause unexpected                      
  22. |    errors in the Transaction Program. Programmers familiar                    
  23. |    with the APPC API will notice that the CPIC TP ID con-                     
  24. |    tains the APPC TP_ID (8-bytes of storage), but these                       
  25. |    two parameters cannot be exchanged in a mixed APPC/CPI-C                   
  26. |    application.
