  8.     software or public domain software.  Program and Documentation

  14.     What is Bamboo Helper?
  15.     ======================

  17.     Bamboo Helper is a shareware program for students of the Chinese
  18.     language.  It helps students read Chinese text files on their PC-
  19.     compatible computers by showing the correct pronunciation, the
  20.     location of word breaks, and other useful information.  Bamboo
  21.     Helper remembers a student's reading level and uses this
  22.     knowledge to generate helpful output files, including vocabulary
  23.     lists and flashcards that may be printed out for later use.
  24.     Bamboo Helper works with popular Chinese display systems such as
  25.     MS-Windows 3.1 Chinese Edition and ETen Chinese System.

  30.       1.  Make sure you have at least 370K free on your hard disk
  31.       2.  Make a subdirectory for Bamboo Helper
  32.       3.  Go to the new subdirectory
  33.       4.  Unzip BH101.ZIP using PKUNZIP version 2.0 or higher
  34.       5.  Type BH to start the program
  35.  
  36.     If you want to register Bamboo Helper, you can use the "Print
  37.     Registration Form" function under "Register" in "About Bamboo
  38.     Helper" to quickly print a one-sheet registration form.  See the
  39.     BH101.DOC file for other essential information.
