  34. System requirements
  35. --------------------

  37. The Great Pyramid runs on IBM compatible computers (PC).
  38. It requires:
  39. - Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT 4 (or later).
  40. - Any pointing device such as a mouse.
  41. - A sound card and speakers in order to be able to hear the sounds and music.
  42. However, the game will run properly without sound devices (but without sounds).

  44. Installation
  45. --------------

  47. Run the autoextractible file gpyramid.exe that you have downloaded.
  48. Once the files have been unzipped, run the setup.exe
  49. and follow the instructions.

  51. Uninstallation
  52. ---------------

  54. Click the 'Start' button. Select 'Settings' and click
  55. on 'Control Panel'. In the Control Panel window, double-
  56. click the icon 'Add/Remove Programs'. In the list, click
  57. on 'The Great Pyramid' and click on the 'Add/Remove' button.

  59. The Game
  60. ---------

  62. This game is similar to the traditional 'President' card game
  63. also known as the 'Asshole', but with some differences and 
  64. additional features:
  65.  
  66. -There are 5 players: the Slave, the Soldier, the Scribe,
  67. the Prince and the Pharaoh. At the beginning, the Slave gives
  68. his two best cards to the Pharaoh, the Soldier his best card to
  69. the Prince, the Pharaoh gives two cards of his choice (usually
  70. the worst) to the Slave and the Prince gives one to the Soldier.
  71. The Scribe does not swap.
  72.  
  73. -The Great Pyramid is not played with a normal 52-cards deck
  74. but with a special one made of 72 cards distributed in 6 colors
  75. plus three extra cards, the Gods (equivalent to Jokers).
  76.  
  77. -The Great Pyramid is not an endless game like the normal
  78. 'President' but the player has to remain Pharaoh (the highest
  79. rank) 6 times consecutively in order to build his pyramid.

  81. -All graphics, cards, background... are made in an egyptian
  82. style that I hope you will like.

  87. This is a shareware version. To obtain the registered version,
  88. just fill in the order form available in the order.txt file or
  89. during the game and send it with a small fee of 14 USD to
