  23. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  24. 1) Double-Click the Setup program.
  25. 2) You may be prompted for a directory. Simply choose the
  26.    directory where you decompressed the screen saver files.
  27. 3) When the installation is complete, you may delete the files that
  28.    you decompressed.

  33. 1) Go to Control Panel
  34. 2) Open up Add/Remove Programs
  35. 3) Click on AVI Screen Saver
  36. 4) Click on Add/Remove

  40. QUICKTIME VS. ACTIVEMOVIE
  41. If you have trouble playing QuickTime movies, first be sure
  42. that the "Use QuickTime instead of ActiveMovie" checkbox is
  43. checked. ActiveMovie can play videos faster than QuickTime,
  44. but does not support as many file formats as QuickTime.

  48. KNOWN PROBLEMS
  49. In Windows NT, AVI movie files will play in the upper right corner
  50. while in screen saver mode, but not in Preview mode. As soon
  51. as the cause for this problem is found, it will be corrected.
  52. QuickTime movies, behave normally.

  61. END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THIS SOFTWARE

  63. IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY: This End-User License Agreement ("EULA")
  64. is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single
  65. entity) and Benjamin Carter for the software product identified
  66. above, which includes computer software and may include associated
  67. media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic
  68. documentation ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT"). By installing, copying, or
  69. otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bound by the
  70. terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA,
  71. do not install or use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT; you may, however, return
  72. it to your place of purchase for a full refund.

  75. SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE

  77. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and
  78. international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual
  79. property laws and treaties. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed,
  80. not sold.

  83. 1. GRANT OF LICENSE. This EULA grants you the following rights:

  85. Installation and Use. You may install and use an unlimited number
  86. of copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

  88. Reproduction and Distribution. You may reproduce and distribute
  89. an unlimited number of copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT; provided
  90. that each copy shall be a true and complete copy, including all
  91. copyright and trademark notices, and shall be accompanied by a
  92. copy of this EULA. Copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be
  93. distributed as a standalone product or included with your
  94. own product.

  97. 2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.

  99. Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and
  100. Disassembly. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or
  101. disassemble the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, except and only to the extent
  102. that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law
  103. notwithstanding this limitation.

  105. Separation of Components. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a
  106. single product. Its component parts may not be separated for use
  107. on more than one computer.

  109. Software Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights
  110. under this EULA, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of
  111. this EULA.

  113. Termination. Without prejudice to any other rights, Benjamin Carter
  114. may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and
  115. conditions of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies
  116. of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and all of its component parts.

  118. Distribution. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT may not be sold or be included
  119. in a product or package which intends to receive benefits through
  120. the inclusion of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be
  121. included in any free or non-profit packages or products.

  124. 3. COPYRIGHT. All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE
  125. PRODUCT (including but not limited to any images, photographs,
  126. animations, video, audio, music, text, and "applets" incorporated
  127. into the SOFTWARE PRODUCT), the accompanying printed materials,
  128. and any copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT are owned by Benjamin Carter.
  129. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and
  130. international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the
  131. SOFTWARE PRODUCT like any other copyrighted material except that you
  132. may install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on a single computer provided you
  133. keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes.

  136. 4. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT and
  137. documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication,
  138. or disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set
  139. forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data
  140. and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs
  141. (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial Computer Software-Restricted Rights
  142. at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as applicable. Manufacturer is

  149. is governed by the laws of the State of California.

  165. express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied
  166. warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or
  167. noninfringement. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of
  168. the SOFTWARE PRODUCT remains with you.

  170. NO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES. In no event shall Benjamin Carter be
  171. liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation,
  172. damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss
  173. of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of
  174. the use of or inability to use this product, even if Benjamin Carter
  175. has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some
  176. states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
  177. liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above
  178. limitation may not apply to you.
