  3. Xenophon's Symposium). In 401 he joined a
  4. Greek mercenary army aiding the Persian
  5. prince Cyrus, and on the latter's death took
  6. command. His Anabasis describes how he led
  7. 10,000 Greeks on a 1,000-mile march home
  8. across enemy territory. His other works
  9. include Memorabilia and Apology.
