An array of galaxies arranged almost in a
perfect plane, discovered by US astronomers
in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in Nov 1989. It
consists of some 2,000 galaxies (about 500
million x 200 million light years) and is
thought to be the largest structure ever
discovered.
